Ally's Farscape Fan Fiction Archive

The following is a list of links to stories archived at Farscape Ally. By the grace of the author's, these stories are archived here for our continued enjoyment. This is an 'R' rating or lower archive, and now is probably a good time to point out that Ally owns nothing at all on this website, but before snurching stories for archiving elsewhere, you must contact the author(s) in question and beg, just like Ally. *g*

Are We Having Fun Yet? - by orchidcactus
Ally's Note:
Rating and Setting: Set after Fractures, but before the final four in the States. I'll give this one a slightly stronger PG13; most of it is pretty tame.
Notes: In early October I wrote, The Good Times. Although this fic didn't start as a sequel; per-se, some of the references will make more sense if 'Are We hving Fun Yet?' is read second.
Additionally: I truly adore critters.
Spoilers: To current viewing in the States.
Excerpt: "... "Traveling? We're going on a trip? What do the others think about that?" Chiana looked doubtfully at him as she took a sip of the hot liquid. Really she was asking if he had consulted Aeryn. Lately their ex-Peacekeeper had been... a little uptight. She had become all about the mission, focused on her goal, and seemed to take the Human's welfare personally; if Crichton was up to something, she would be a little... uptight when she found out. ..."

Reaching Out - by Angel ( aangelhart@hotmail.com )
Ally's Note:
Excerpt: "... She sat beside him putting a hand on his knee. "Don't apologise. Please, don't apologise. It should be me who is apol..." she was silenced with a finger to her lips. Their eyes locked. She could feel her heart pounding and wondered vaguely if he could feel it too. She hadn't been this close to him since, well since the other. He didn't try to kiss her, didn't try to move forward. Just sat, finger to lips, looking at her. ..."

History - by Angel ( aangelhart@hotmail.com )
Ally's Note: Shipper paradise. Calling this one unabashed romance. The author admits to a bit of wishful thinking. Entire vignette set on the... 'Terrace'.
Author's Summary: Just a little in between ep from IYYY - How I would like to see things happen before they go to battle.
Excerpt: "... So here I find myself, standing on the terrace, looking out at the vast stars that he chose to name. I see myself - the bright star, the constant, the anchor. It makes me feel no better. Stars can disintegrate, like love, like hate, like vengeance. ..."

Necessary Evil - by sunshiner
Ally's Note: Author's Afterword TBA.

Author's Summary: The agricultural planet of Kinfea Prime is an ideal place for a grocery run. But when one of Moya’s crew gets in over her head, the others agree to a little dirty work. The job seems simple enough, but nothing is ever easy in the Uncharted Territories. And the right decisions aren’t always the best ones.

Excerpt: "... This time, if everything turned to dren, it would solely be John’s fault. D’Argo and Chiana had both wanted to take Jool from the planet by force. From everything they had seen of Kinfea Prime, only the police carried real weapons. Just about everyone else was a farmer. Even the guns Cabmauri’s men carried were paltry when compared to John’s pulse pistol and D’Argo’s Qualta blade. They would have been able to cut a swath through the resistance and gotten away before the blood had time to dry. It wouldn’t have been the first time. It wasn’t even that long ago they had done something similar on LoMo. ..."

Marshmallows in Jell-O - by thewholebrain
Note from Ally:

Excerpt:

CUT TO:

INT. HALLWAY OUTSIDE MOYA'S MESS -- CONTINUOUS

John Crichton is walking down the hallway, approaching the mess. He hesitates when he hears Aeryn and Crais talking.
AERYN (O.S.)

I can't talk about this now.

CRAIS (O.S.)

Aeryn, we are comrades and I hope friends. If you will not or cannot talk to anybody else, I wish you would talk with me.

Perish Twice - by OneEye_theDRD
Excerpt: "... Aeryn played John's final message to the entire crew. The all claimed to be happy for him, said they were glad he'd made it home, but the words rang hollow. Not an arn went by in the next few solar days without someone wishing he was there, whether it be for a shoulder to cry on, a pair of hands to help with the work, or that irrepressible sense of humor that had so often rejuvenated their spirits even as it baffled their microbes. And yet, as much as they missed him, they were also uniformly irritated and hurt that he hadn't waited, hadn't given them the chance to say goodbye. ..."

No One Left Behind - by OneEye_theDRD
Excerpt: "Aeryn," John's image was saying, "I'm not quite sure how to do this. In all the time we've known each other, all the times we've parted, we've never said goodbye to each other. And yet, at the same time, we've both had to say goodbye at least once, in the worst possible situations. We've each watched the other die, each attended the other's funeral, and yet somehow we're both still alive, through the strangest of circumstances...

The Aeryn Years by Various Authors
Note from Ally: Multiple stories in series. Some author's have provided an afterword for their stories.

Excerpt from 'Fallen From Grace' by birthsister: It was more than just sand that choked her. It was cloying, acrid, poisonous. She tried to tuck her face into the crook of her arm but she couldn’t breathe any better for it, and the dust still clawed at the delicate corners of her eyes. Instinctively she reached for her weapon, but doubted she would be able to see well enough to shoot anything, anyway.

Heart of the Matter - by Kernil Crash
Note from Ally: Author's afterword available.

Excerpt: This was not going smoothly at all. John Crichton had time for the single thought and then the transport lurched violently to one side and he was thrown off his feet for the third time.
( Mar '02 )
Spaced Out - by Kernil Crash
Excerpt: Crichton sat up on his bed, once again abandoning the attempt to get some sleep. He hadn’t completely lied to Aeryn, he knew he was long past due for some rest, but each time he laid down his mind seemed to starburst. Images and emotions rolled out in front of him, leading him down a path of memories that led to the same place each time -- the vision of Zhaan standing on the bridge of the Pathfinder ship, smiling serenely as it was ripped into quantum vapor.

Voices of Reason - by KernilCrash
Ally's Note: Author's Afterword available.

Excerpt: "... Scorpius stared at Crichton for a moment, then shook his head. "I do not have any ability to understand their language beyond your own, John. I do not exist, therefore I do not have any capacity aside from what your own mind provides. If someone has done this to you, I am not aware of it, and I cannot help. ..."

Excerpt:

INT. BAR ON THE COMMERCE PLANET -- CONTINUOUS

Bialar Crais, John Crichton, and Stark are sitting together at a small table in the back of a bar crowded by a mid-afternoon rush. The remains of their lunch are spread out on the table in front of them. Crais and Crichton are continuing what appears to be a never ending argument...
( Feb '02 )
Forced Perspective - by huzzlewhat
Excerpt: It had been so long since someone had simply wanted to help. It had reminded her of Crichton, before time and experience and too many betrayals and too much suffering of his own had made him less trusting, less eager to lead with an open hand. He'd changed. Everything had changed. But this — maybe this was where they would start to change back.

Friendship - by imloco2
Ally's Note: Author's Afterword available.

My Albatross - by Sunshiner
Ally's Note: Author's Afterword available.

Excerpt: "... “John,” D’Argo was trying to be patient. He really was. But some days were easier to deal with the human than others. Today was one of the hard days. Actually, everyday was since Aeryn had left on Talyn with Crais and the other John. “Until we find another commerce planet, you are not going to be able to fix your module. That connector is fused…” ..."

Disruption - by huzzlewhat
Ally's Note: Author's Afterword available.

Awards: 'Best Overall FanFic' - 2001 FanFic Awards

Excerpt: The expression in his eyes was warm, friendly, and I smiled in return, allowed the slightest self-conscious flicker of the eyes, which made his smile widen. My first choice was staying on Tendaris, close to J’atris. But if turned out that I did have to abort the mission and pull out, Crichton was my best chance.

Walls of Jericho- by birthsister
Excerpt: "... When she had taken that first step, he had expected it to carry her right out of Pilot’s chamber. He could hear her footsteps receding away from him in much the same way one hears the crunch of metal before impact in a car crash. Her stony face, her ashen limbs, her “Peacekeeper with attitude” demeanor would walk her right back to Talyn and out of his life. Then she had stopped, and with precision military training performed an about face that left him lost in an ecstasy of mental confusion. Crais following her in much the same manner was barely a blip on his internal radar. Crais meant Talyn. Talyn meant firepower. But Aeryn. Aeryn meant everything. ..."

The Good Times - by orchidcactus
Excerpt: "... John yawned and leaned against the console. His current view of space from Command was less than inspiring, he had been on watch for almost ten arns, and be damned if Aeryn hadn't been wearing him out lately. That thought prompted a little smile; life, for the moment, was almost perfect. ..."

2001/2002 Drought Challenge Favorites - Various Authors
Ally's Note: This is a separate archive for stories written and shared on the scifi.com/farscape bulletin board during the 2001/2001 'Great Drought', describing the seven months between Season 3's Episode 18, "Fractures" and Episode 19, "I Yench, You Yench". Excerpt from "A Spot In The Sun", by CrystalMoon: "... Ever since Aeryn had come back from Talyn, he’d respected her need to stay isolated from him and the rest of the crew. But this was different. He’d missed his notebook as soon as his twin had taken it, missed staring out at the stars and sketching them, missed the feel of the paper he’d traded a cartridge of chakan oil for, missed the quiet time sketching in it gave him when he didn’t have to think about anything but the stars. And Aeryn, of course. He couldn’t look at the stars without thinking of her. ..."

House Divided - by Maayan

Excerpt: "... The tinkering stops. He's done fixing the scrubbers, or whatever task he assigned himself. How much maintenance does her frelling cell need anyway?

"When you're waiting for somebody to tell you that they love you, but the words won't come, it breaks something in you - every single time."

Aeryn has met disruptors less skilled in psychological warfare. ..."

Scars - by huzzlewhat

Excerpt: "... He needed something of home. He was tired of everything being strange, of every single damn thing in his life needing him to adapt to it. He wanted a familiar pair of Levis, his ragged old flannel shirt. He wanted to walk into a bar and order a drink without having to figure out what he might like, and what wouldn't poison him. He wanted to go to an ATM and punch in his pin -- 4682, his mind supplied automatically -- ..."

Crais Considers - by newscaper
Excerpt: "... Mentioning the non-Sebaceans reminded him to scan the interior of the ship again to check on the others. He refused to "look" into what had passed as Aeryn and Crichton's quarters, but nearby DRD's and other sensors confirmed Aeryn's life signs were within acceptable norms. ..."

The Goddess - by jennhi
Excerpt: "... Zhaan's mind stopped for a brief instance. She thought they might be selfish for keeping her around, but was she being selfish for thinking she could just leave? Why was she thinking of this *now*? "I - I would still have loved them in return," she responded. What was happening? Her resolve suddenly felt wrong. "My love for you is strong. It was right that you live now." ..."

The screen shifted through nine alien faces until the image froze on Aeryn's. "Survivor. Beginning tomorrow night at sixteen arns. Don't miss it!" ..."

The Visit Home - by Death2PrimeChick
Author's Summary: Wayward astronaut John Crichton returns home after almost a decade away from Earth, and brings his daughter.

Excerpt: "... The International Space Station

“The anomaly has disappeared, but I’m getting some weird signals from the same vicinity as the anomaly. It’s very faint, but half of it sounds English, the other half like white noise. It is a radio signal, and the origin appears to be coming closer,” Sergei Ivanov, the Russian communications specialist told the rest of the crew. ..."

Fiction In The Space Between - by Scapekid
Excerpt: "... "Get the frell out of it," a nasal voice whines, accompanied by the static-crackle of a cattle prod. Or whatever they call it in this neck of the universe. One of the squirming mass of critters to my right pushes all the air out of its body, suddenly and painfully. Now we've attracted the attention of the Gestapo, I really don't have much of a desire to be hanging around here. ..."

Late For Breakfast - by CrystalMoon
Excerpt: "... Just then he realized exactly what her messy quarters meant. The annoyingly punctual Aeryn Sun had overslept. This was good. This was ammunition. Whenever he'd overslept she'd derided him mercilessly. Well, payback's a bitch, he thought with a smirk. This was going to be an interesting breakfast -- at least for him. ..."

The Seven Dwarfs - by 13thNight

Aeryn was trying to free her pulse gun from her right thigh holster with her left hand. ..."
