Please read before proceeding: All stories archived here are the property of the individual author; except as individual story disclaimers may allow. Archiving is merely a service to Ally and select members of the public as described below, and is not an indication of ownership.
Please be advised: ALL stories archived are rated NC-17 (No Children Under 17). This rating is designated for various reasons: violence, adult themes and situations, language and sexual content to name but a few. As the rating implies, the reasons for the NC-17 rating indicates that the themes contained within these works of fiction run to an extreme greater than would allow a R (Restricted) rating or less. Also, Ally reads everything and her tastes are very eclectic. Those stories selected to also reside in this archive do so because Ally, in her individual opinion, thinks they are skillfully executed works of fiction.
Please read the story descriptors, including any warnings, before you decide to click into a story.
Feedback: As always, feedback to authors is appreciated. Email links are normally provided with story descriptors below and with individual story archives. However, upon reading a story which is not to your individual taste; please be kind and wait a while for the brain to engage before you fire off an email.
And finally: For those who are NOT adult, and who are NOT seventeen or greater: You shouldn't be here. Please close your browser window, or Head back to Ally's Fic Pics and select something there. All others... proceed with caution.

Understandings, by orchidcactus
Notes: It's all familiar… and she doesn't understand.
Excerpt: ...The fractures will heal without complication; there'd be no scars this time. ...
Archive Date: July 2002
Okay, I'm an adult over 17, lemme read the story already!
The Good Times, by orchid cactus
Notes: In 'Infinite Possibilities: Icarus Abides' Aeryn spoke of the 'good times'; this is my idea of what one of those times might have been like (given what a good time in Farscape-land is like). Set after 'Meltdown' on Talyn.
Excerpt: Step. Pause. Look. Step. Pause. Feel each stone with a tentative foot before committing to putting full weight on it. The first day in the maze had taught them this lesson. John had stepped on a crumble-stone, starting a domino of stones around it to loosen and fall. Only Aeryn's quick grab had saved him.
Ally's Note: John and Aeryn belonging together. They blend with seamless choreography.
Archive Date: July 2002

Hard/Work, by Makiko
Summary: Twenty-minute relationships, and he'd never let her down.
Author Notes: Punk found an arc and Pene sailed along it and I'd be lost without my symmetrical girls. And then Luna did her voodoo, but I still owe the title to SR.
Story Notes: Set somewhere between "The Choice" and "Fractures."
Excerpt: She hasn't admitted it for longer than it takes to think and forget, but the sex is part of the reason she wants her old life back.
Ally's Notes: As hard as it is; the utter lack of coyness is riviting. Nothing cloaked. The 'alieness' is, threfore, stark. Gorgeous piece.
Archive Date: July 2002

Asystole, by Maayan
Summary: Thirty-seven years old, and the heart of an old man.
Notes: Because I'm a late arrival, and sometimes I wonder. Set after The Hidden Memory, but before Bone To Be Wild.
Excerpt: Stupid, stupid to think he can alter the course of things, fix the damage and repair what's been broken. Pathetic to presume that he can believe in nothing, yet subsist on faith.
Ally's Note: Mental meltdowns; M captures without holding the readers hand. Love it.
Archive Date: July 2002

June 23, 2004: And I'm still in love with this story. I may not be able to write 'em, but I can damn well pick 'em. heh.
Space Between, by KodiakkeMax
Summary: "She feels like she is someone, more than something."
Author Notes: Thanks, C, for the beer and the ear.
Story Notes: Takes place 2nd Season some time after "A Clockwork Nebari".
Excerpt: But he stands just outside her reach, staring at her, his mouth is moving but the words take so long to reach her and nothing makes sense because he will not come to her, he only gives her his words. She will live, he tells her that, he is proof of that, but right now it just hurts and she wants him to come to her and replace this pain with one more familiar.
Ally's Note: We beg and beg and beg for character studies. Please give us more of 'this' person or 'that'. And here we go. Chiana - bare essence. A deep, soul baring character study. Shades revealed. I loved it. Didn't find it overtly disturbing.
Archive Date: July 2002

In The Company of Ghosts Coda: A Moment to Ourselves, by KodiakkeMax
Summary: A coda to In the Company of Ghosts. If there are plot points, they're well-hidden.
Author's Notes: Many, many thanks to Mickie, who rose to the occasion. Cofax and Fi should always be blamed for anything to do with this story.
Excerpt: Mental whiplash. "Why would what matter?" His mind was slow; he wasn't used to waking up without alarms going off and life-and-death choices to make. Better than caffeine, and, in its own way, just as addictive.
"Falling asleep. Who woke up first."
"Because I wanted to watch you sleep."
"Why?"
"It's a Human thing."
Ally's Notes: One of those moments of release; with a human twist. I may be just a little in love with Max's writing. But this is simply damn good.

The Recovery, by Birthsister
Summary: He had watched her descend like a falling star.
Story Notes: Spoilers: Die Me Dichotomy and Human Reaction, little ones for the Flax and PK Tech Girl.
Excerpt: "John, really, Sebacean women are, how do you say, a dime a dozen." The clone cocked his head and smiled, "Now my lovely Natira, now that's an experience to remember." Thump! He knocked himself back into his own memory, alone with the woman he loved.
Ally's Notes: I call this one the fic I 'shouldn't' have read post-Die Me Dichotomy. Trauma on trauma. Not good for me. The story is painfully bitter/sweet. To laugh and cry at the same moment. Gotta be one of life's treasures.
Archive Date: July 2002

The Well-Known Act, by Robyn Bender
Summary: In the indeterminate future, John & Aeryn have solved several problems (including the one with birth control) and tonight they can Go All the Way.
Story Notes: NC-17 for sex. If any Robyn Bender fic has been too explicit for your taste, you're not equipped to ride this ride. Please disembark and proceed calmly to the next fanfic on this menu.
Excerpt "Come here. We need to teach you to neck."
All his odd words: "Fool around. Make out. Make love.
Howl at the moon. Drive us over the cliff." Earth sex? Crichton sex.
Ally's Notes: Here's that lack of coyness I praised Makiko's 'Hard/Work' for. These are moments of intimacy after all. Here, of course, much happier circumstances.
