4/4/02: JohnsKeedvaBBQ - Okay, loco's gonna kill us, but; here's what she had to say re: Penni's query regarding the possibility of some stories about Aeryn's time with John on the Favorited Planet:

"That would involve writing about 55 cycles of John sleeping with other women, or 55 cycles of incredible sexual frustration, or 55 cycles of sleeping with a very old woman. Or some combination thereof. Ewwwww I'll let someone else tackle that t/horny subject! LOL" ~~ imloco2
hehe, I'm tellin' ya, people. Do NOT send me email unless you wanna see it up here somewhere. Well. I gotta go hide now. *vbg*

4/3/02: Rel: Those fics are damn good stuff! Well worth the read!

I really liked the way everyone was brought to life so completely. The loss of Aeryn's son John was done so well, it felt like a knife going in and being twisted. The relationship between Ennixx and Aeryn was good too, especially the whole Unashamed Grandma thing. Priceless.

I will recommend them to everyone I know who likes Farscape (which admittedly is not many people, but that's their problem, right?).

4/1/02: Penni Great job people. Any hopes of following it up with stories about Aeryn's time with John on the Favored Planet?

Penni

3/29/02: utcat You guys are awesome. What an undertaking -- I am so impressed how you developed her entire life. I feel that I know these people!

3/27/02: JohnsKeedvaBBQ Well, the BBQ figures you can never make things too easy. Thanks to wiscaper for pointing out the very lovely independent post by jadeshand (added to blog below). I guess you can do that too. The BBQ will find you. Thanks!

3/27/02: Eprgirl (reply post) I'd like to echo those comments... I agree with you Jadeshand. Finished reading the whole set of stories just an hour or so ago and can only say that I was most impressed by all the stories.

This was a great project by a number of our very best writers and they should be highly praised for the time and effort to bring us this series of stories which although written separately don't miss a beat or ever seem to stray from the characters.

I was going to list my favourites from the stories, but have decided against it as I think you really need to read the whole series to get the full impact.

Great job Guys.

I just wanted to congratulate all the wonderful writers who took part in The Aeryn Years. Every story was well-written and well-thought out. It was a marvelous project from the word go. I haven't spent just an enjoyable 2+ hours in a long, long time. Thanks so much, guys. It was tremendous.

If anyone hasn't read this yet, you can find it at:

3/27/02: Marauderpilot (email) Now I've stopped crying I want to congratulate everyone involved with this wonderful series of fics. They were absolutely fantastic, and brought life so well to the characters. I'm surprised no-one's tries to tackle this huge timeline hole before, but now that it's been done so well, I doubt anyone else will :) I wouldn't read it anyway. As far as I'm concerned this is what happened :) Thankyou all so much for writing this.

I am in awe... humbled, astounded, overwhelmed, honored and envious of the style and grace of you wonderful writers.

THANK YOU!!!!

All of you scribblers filled in the blanks of The Locket so incredibly believably. I was in tears for a good portion of the time, and even now as I try to think of what to say to you, I am remembering the emotional power of each of your chapters (stories in themselves). In almost every one of them, I can think of a turn of a phrase or a paragraph that I only wish I could have had the good fortune to write first.

I am grateful to each of you for touching my heart.

Hey, I usually don't like to be used as a guinea pig but in this case I really don't mind. *g*

Honestly I wouldn't be able to pick a specific story out of all those brilliant ones that I like most! They all fit together so perfectly. After having finished reading them I'm even more in awe than before!

Thanks everyone for one brilliant reading experience!

Yours,

Dietmar

They were great!! I loved them!!! It's so nice!!!!! AWWWW....

3/25/02: wiscaper

Wow.

Friends, you ROCK!

I have now read all the stories that are archived here - I have alternately smiled and sniffled and laughed and bawled my eyes out and really, really enjoyed each and every tale. I am truly honored to be included with such a fine group of amazingly talented people. Thanks to all of you for your contributions.

And thank you, imloco2, for starting this, together with you, aeryncrichton, the cohort in crime. :) This was a fantastic idea and I am blown away by the continuity. The scenes flow smoothly from one to the next, making for wonderful reading.

Teri, the site is beautiful. The counters were a great idea! Thanks for providing the space.

Love ya all!!

Hey, just wanted to say thanks to moonbebe, Tazey, Bayoucat and Nighthawk62 for being our guinea pig posters... they posted feedback on our original pandering post and weren't aware that they would show up *here* of all places. Sorry guys, but THANKS. Thanks for the kind words, and for being the first to chime in with words the authors are exceedingly gleeful to hear.

That being said, we simply cannot believe that the author's involved didn't *know* or at least *feel* that they were in on something so special. It has been our extreme pleasure to post the series here. It's an honor to have them. Thanks to imloco2 for the wonderful support, encouraging words and the constant communication that brought the series to life on paper and here at Farscape Ally.

All I can say is I'm speechless... and I've got this wonderful world that Aeryn lived in for those 160 years dancing around in my head right now. Those stories made me smile, laugh and cry - all the while my heart aching because my favorite couple wasn't together.

After I finish digesting all I've read, I'll be sending out my thanks to each of the wonderful writers that tackled tihs project.

But for now here is just a simple "Thank You". Those stories made my day. :)

And thanks to JKBBQ for the notice. Dad had posted a link to the CBOOL list and I just spent the last 2 hours reading all those wonderful stories.

I'm in awe. Splendid! Stupendous! Spectacular! (Sorry, but I seem to be stuck on superlatives that start with "s").

I share moonbebe's reactions to this series of fics, right down to the outright frustration over the fact that my favorite couple can't be together.

This group of stories have got to be, hands down, one of the best I've ever read!!! The fact that they were done by different author's makes it even better! Each chapter blended into the next so smoothly that I wouldn't have been able to tell who wrote what if it hadn't been written down in black & white.

Applause and kudos to all of the contributors to the Aeryn Years. You are truly a talented group. Thanks to all of you!

And thanks to the BBQ for giving this great series a home! A round of applause for you to!

Adieu,
Catherine aka BayouCat

3/24/02: Tazey

Congrats to all the writers. You all gave me a great time reading all those wonderful fics. The achievement is especially remarkable, since I'm a die-hard J/A shipper. But even though John wasn't there in pereson, he still seemed to be all over the place and most importantly in Aeryn's heart. :)

Thank you all so much.

Tazey

3/24/02: Nighthawk62

Hey, please be careful not to step on my lower jaw that just dropped on the floor when you walk around the room! *lol*

Man, what a great assembly of stories! Although I haven't read all of them yet (I'm halfway through as I write this) I must congratulate each and every one of the writers on their fantastic work (and Chris for her management skills, of course! *g*)!!!

Great work, people!

Yours,
Dietmar
