Life and death and moments of transition. Lovely sense of time and place in characterization, what is revealed and what isn't. All that distance, that wariness of each other lingering still. John still naively clueless, clinging to the past like there's a 7-11 just around the corner. Gave me vaguely uneasy stirrings of nostalgia. Yum.

Ally's Notes: Jaws on steroids. Long actioner with an interesting style defining transitions. Now, Ally 'loves' Crashfic, all those lovely words. That being said, given the plot of this story, there's benefit to be gained from a gutting to the bare bones of terror. An engaging read none the less.

Notes from the Author: This is Classic Farscape! The episode is such a riot and no one could improve upon it. Yet, I am left hanging. (Yes, I'm left hanging after more than just this episode, but this is the one that sticks with me.) I want more!! John has been through hezmana. He's had a lot of stuff kicked out of him. I want to see how John gets out of that room. I want to know how long he's been missing. I want to know how he got there in the first place. I want to witness the scene where he is found. I want...I want... I want more!!! :) And so it happens - the muse takes over.
Disclaimer: Farscape belongs to them, not me. I'm trying to mind my own business, but the words tumble out onto the computer screen. I read the tag from the script and it still wasn't enough. I've read other addenda to the episode. There are some good ideas out there. Here are my thoughts. Any and all glaring errors are mine.

Author's Notes: Hi ! It's time! Well, actually, I'm kind of afraid to start posting the fic because it isn't finished yet and I'm afraid you'll catch up with me. It isn't finished because it's going to be really frelling long, I think.

The prologue to this is the epilogue to my I. Crichton. Many, many thanks to Crystal Moon for pointing out that it looked like the beginning instead of the end to a story and getting me thinking.

Unfortunately for me, the PTB have been messing up my story line all season. When I started this, both Johns were alive, and we knew nothing of Aeryn's mother. So, Aeryn's mom is still Meara, and had the best possible outcome for her life (having been smart enough to leave the Pks after talking to Aeryn) and one of the John's made it to earth. This fic is set a few cycles later.

Thanks to MALar for reading it all.

I'm just borrowing the characters. If anyone can figure out how to sue me for the deep personal satisfaction and the lovely responses I get for this, which is my only pay, they can go right ahead.

GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN by David Falkayn

STORY NOTES: This is the long promised sequel to “No Place Like Home” and takes place during and shortly after the events of that story. Feedback is, as always, greatly appreciated. For those who have not read "No Place Like Home", this is a crossover between Farscape, and the Dominic Flandry series of Poul Anderson which is set within the decadent Terran Empire. Briefly, the Empire and the Roidhunate of Merseia (the chief rival of the Empire) have just partioned Peacekeeper territory after a short war in which the Peacekeepers were overwhelmed by the superior technology and strength of the great empires. Sebacea is now the new sector capital of the newly created Sebacean sector and is currently under military rule. The Luxan homeworld and the Hynerian Empire are under the control of the Merseians, while the Delvians are a willing client state of the Empire and the Sebacean Royal Colonies, now under the rule of the Empress Katralla, are allies of the Terran Empire. John is a Lt. Commander in Terran Naval Intelligence, and Aeryn is a Lieutenant, also Naval Intelligence.
