Guest Stars Reappearing:

Tammy McIntosh Returning in the fourth season as Joolushko Tunai Fenta Hoovalis; the galaxies most annoying whiner. Jool first raised her curly red head in the S3 ep 'Self-Inflicted Wounds, Part 1: Could'a, Would'a, Should'a' and returned; again and again in 'Self-Inflicted Wounds: Part 2, Wait For The Wheel', '...Different Destinations', 'Eat Me', 'Thanks For Sharing', 'Losing Time', 'Incubator', 'Scratch 'N Sniff', 'Revenging Angel', 'Fractures', 'I-Yensch, You-Yensch' and 'Into the Lion's Den, Parts 1 & 2: Lambs to the Slaughter and Wolf in Sheep's Clothing'.

Raelee Hill Can a single show have too many redheads? Apparently not. Ms. Hill returns for her second Season 4 appearance as the gravity defying Sikozu Shanu. Jack of all Trades for Hire.

Rebecca Riggs Returning as the vaguely malevolent Mele-On Grayza; yet another non-Sebacean Peacekeeper. And we thought those guys were finicky. Previously appeared in Season 3 Episode, 'Into The Lion's Den, Part 1: Lambs to the Slaughter'.

David Franklin Back for the fourth season, with a uh, field promotion. Congrats. Previously appeared in the recurring role of Scorpy's obsequious toady; Lt. Braca. First popping up in the tag of the Season 1 ep: 'Bone To Be Wild', then returning for 'Family Ties'. Back for Season 2 in: 'Mind The Baby', 'Look At The Princess, Part 2: I Do, I Think', and the final four, 'Liars, Guns & Money, Parts 1, 2, & 3: A Not So Simple Plan, With Friends Like These, & Plan B', and 'Die Me Dichotomy'. In Season 3, Braca reappeared in 'Season of Death', 'Losing Time', 'Incubator', 'I-Yensch, You-Yensch', 'Into the Lion's Den, Part 1 and 2: Lambs to the Slaughter and Wolf in Sheep's Clothing'. Shifting to Commandant Grayza's obsequious toady in this appearance; but with a lovely promotion under his belt. Great seein' ya, David.

ep discussion

With a lead provided by Jool prior to her... departure, the Moya!Crew reunite on board a planet prone to life destroying magnetic disturbances, managing to ruffle the feathers of a couple of Interion archaeologists at a dig site where the keys to galactic peace may be buried. Wanting only to quietly wait for Moya to return, and get the hell outta there; intrigue abounds, sudden death occurs and a peaceful past and frightening future collide in the present.

Moya!John finally gets some and takes a swan dive.

Ryge remains aboard the dying Elack in a decayed orbit, but Sikozu manages in moments what John couldn't manage in months and has a close encounter with D'Argo at the 11th hour.

The old woman from 'Dog With Two Bones' upholds her status as resident looney, communing with the spirits of the dead and gaining a bizarre fish person as guardian while dispensing knowledge that shouldn't be dispensed, stripping John of his most prized possession and stalking an Interion archaeologist with delusions of grandeur.

Chi lurks and freaks and has an awkward encounter with D'Argo who is having more fun lately with Jool and his ship, and when someone turns up dead by an unseen assailant-- can anyone help but wonder if Chi is up to her old and new tricks?

It's a time for reunions and the field promoted Braca, Scorpius and Commandant Grayza appear-- raising heads in completely unexpected ways.

New to 'scape

Aliens & Critters

  • Interion Archaeologists Vella and Tarnat
  • Oo-nii, Creature from the Black Lagoon, sorta.
  • Various red garbed Arnesskan Priests/Mystics
Words

  • Felanusen (Some sort of Hynerian aria? Down home we 'whistle dixie')
  • Zalk (Chi'ism... no clue, something having to do with last straws?)
  • naqued (Rygelism, probably meaning 'sweltering' in context)
  • juzemize (idiom likely meaning 'crap' or something very similar)
  • tork (another for 'ass')
  • nally-whipped (nuh-uh, not gonna translate that one)
  • nooley (the can, the pot, the porcelan throne. cc says 'noli', but I like this spelling better, sounds the same and its an anagram for 'looney')
Big Deals and Nicknames

  • Child's Tile: Small pyramid object engraved with symbols of four different cultures on its four sides. Apparently okay to give children pointy objects 12,000 cycles ago.
  • Ass kicking weapon or peace process: Darnaz Probes / The Darnaz Triangle
  • Apparently Command Carriers can actually LAND on planets... given lack of magnetic pulses to frell with sensitive electronics.
  • John calls Elack's Pilot, 'Sweetheart'
  • and the old woman becomes, Grandma and Granny alternately, also the 'old lady'. Get the girl a name already!
  • John calls the petrified Vella, 'Laura Croft' (think 'Tomb Raider')
  • Chi calls one of her captors 'Minya'.
Casualties, and 'Frell! That's gonna leave a mark!':

  • Elack's well on her way and taking Pilot and Rygel with her.
  • Instructor Vella gets stoned and Tarnat gets bashed about by Crichton and fried by a pulse blast. (Gone but not forgotten. That's 5 Interions now)
  • John gets wet, has Winona confiscated (ouch), is mindfrelled on several occasions and leaps to a nearly certain death.
  • Chi finds out D'Argo named his ship after... his dead wife! (ouch)
  • D'Argo discovers Jool doesn't want him for his mind (ow)
  • Chi smashes a relic and it's a near thing for John's hand.
  • Scorpy has his dignity removed with a spoon. As usual, John gets the short end of the deal.
  • Chi is bashed about-- maybe why she nicknames him 'Minya'.
  • John gets up close and personal with ground level, and... other things
  • Chi's named a tralk, 'again'. Geez.
  • and oooh! John's told he has a small head, er brain! brain cavity. *g*
