So, it's been a while, but I promised myself (and Ally) that I would make a conscious effort to recc some fic.

I've also become enamored once more in LiveJournal's Farscape Friday (Drabble) Community. The challenge changes on a weekly basis (mostly); right now, it's the tail end of the 'Use it or Lose it' topic. Check out some of the Fairy Tales, Icon Drabbles, and 'Song Fic'.

As a writer myself, I like it when someone says, "Here, write this for me." When the timing and inspiration are right, magic happens. A while back, StarsGoBlue asked for end of season 3/beginning of season 4 John and Aeryn angst. Some of them have been posted to Kansas. Of note (and as I find others, I will post them as well)

And there really are no words to describe this fic, other than to quote some of the best lines in it:
He reaches out to a fate that left him behind on Moya. Trusts in a fate that’s already robbed him of her love, and keeps him alive to make sure he appreciates the joke.

What I find amazing - well, not really, there are exceptional writers in Farscape Fandom - is that a simple plea for fic with a specific 'agenda' calls forth a plethora of excellent fic; all set during "Dog With Two Bones" or thereabouts, taking a different tact with the characters, pick up different things from the episodes...

It makes me want to suggest my own request for fic from a specific episode... hee!
