Jen's Hubby is comin home!
It's time to celebrate! Orchid's sweet thing is returning from the middle east on Saturday! Awesomely bitchin'! Pop over and give the lady a virtual hug. It's been a long damn 4.whateverthehell months. *hugs self with relief*.
Popped in at Kansas, take a little look around, see how things are progressing, and had to gasp... twice! New fic from some of my absolute favorites! 'Course, we're such a fic whore that we have new favorites everyotherday.
Out of the Box, Pt I, Pt II, Pt III, by Praps ::G-PG:: [WIP!] One of the very few authors who can make us read a work in progress. We'll get you for this, my pretty! Based on the response, I'm thinking this one is as well loved as the rest of the author's works (links can be found on Ally's Reading List, way down at the bottom with the author compilations). Read while you can, no telling how long SciFi will let us keep our bulletin board and archives. Feed the author, provide reminders that; until David can arrange out next fix, all we have is each other, and our fic. *hugs*!
Johnny on the Spot, by Feldman::NC17:: Oh, GOD! And there are actually those who say that there is 'less' fic being written. *pounds head against uif r o*
In waiting..., by o2difor, a brand new author with some interesting prospects, we get subtly, and extremely well developed tension in just a drabble. Nice.
Slipped over to Angel's Place, and she's got a couple different reccs for you, but also liked Feldman's, Johnny on the Spot. Gotta say, just from experience, poking Feldman just gets you a sore arm. *g* But... it's fun!
CretKid should know better than to try and tempt the BBQ with Aeryn fic, but we'll admit that Thea's, 'A Circle Just' did look extremely good. What I wouldn't give for the time to do more than skim and go, "Wow."
Crap, I've got so much I need to do, and very damn little time to do it. OneEye is gettin' ready to put some crispy edges on our BBQ'd self over the Con!Fics we've yet to put up despite her hard work. We haven't archived the last few stories we've gotten permission to archive, Ally's Pics for 2002 has yet to see the light of day... and we still have four weeks before end of semester. Somethin's got to give and we're afraid it's already us. *g*
Keep reading and writing.

No 'scape fic read at all, but I am rather good at Accounting. How the hell did that happen? And in te even more reassuring news: I think I'm actually going to pass Algebra. There is a strong possibility I could get an 'A' in the course. Uh. Wow. It seems I'm a lot smarter than I was when I was eighteen. Go figure.

Time flies when you're heavily medicated
Is it bad to count hours til bedtime?
Only two more before I can go to bed and 'hopefully' sleep through the night. Feeling god awful NORMAL today, although a 'bit' hyper. Do not want to be laying in bed at 4AM 'still' peeking at the clock every hour and thinking, "Finally! I can get up in two hours!"
Yeah. Brushed out and spent some quality time with the Jakester. Still need to plug in the damn cell. Lemme get that now!
Shit. After much wandering around and essentially forgetting what it was I was wandering around for. Came back, sat down, read a little bit and...
Okay. All plugged in now. Now I can actually be called. Or, imagine it! I could call someone! Who says Journaling is useless?
Meanwhile, OneEye is thinking, 'Well, she could be coding the Challenge Fic!' hehe. I'll do it. I swear!

Quite a day has been had. Nearly over the most recent nervous breakdown. Nice bit o'xanax makin' me feel like I could take a hammer to the head and not care. All courtesy of my wonderful Doc who's always so understanding. And, as staggering a concept it is to grasp, all I really have to do is comprehend this one little bit of intel: 'Hm. May be in a bit of trouble here.' Trust me, it's a bit more complicated than that, but pretty much, that's all it boils down to. Anyway. Always lovely to have a woman doctor. Call me a chauvanist, but there aren't all those communication gaps and translation problems as the message goes from Venus to Mars and back again.
Then, utoh. Big. Senior. Moment. Later, much to my chagrin, went out and had my hair... 'Done'.
You know you're getting old when you get your hair 'done'. Oh, and brows done too. Absolutely essential when your close vision is so bad everything above your eye looks like one gigantic hair. Always suspected there was a bit too much of that testosterone floatin' around, and that threatening uni-brow effect just about sealed it. But then again, the whole collapsing into a weepy pile of tears over a broken fingernail doesn't go real far in supporting that theory. Anyway, having finally had the experience, I don't know what's worse, the 112 degree wax or that softly muttered "one... two..." before the rip! Got a really bad case of the giggles and a mighty irrepressible urge to ask her, in a high-pitched breathless whisper... "What happened to three?"
New coif and tamed brows in tow, I cruised over to my favorite couture, and got an insane amount of 'summer' clothes suitable for the workplace. Even got talked into new 'panties'. Who says 'panties' anyway? And you know... new panties mean the old panties get ejected. Can't have the old panties crowdin' the new guys. Sounds like a inspirational line for Shakespeare.
opened my email inbox this morning, and there was a LOT of action on Leviathan mailing list last night. Haven't gotten to those yet, but there is some awesome fic on Kansas
A Circle Just and At the End of the Dayby thea::R and PG respectively:: New player on the block (at least for me) and both are awesome fics. I expect great things from this writer, I really do, just based on these two stellar stories. A Circle Just takes place while Aeryn is away from Moya, her time with the PK's. Now, I love ScaperRed's 'Aeryn with PK group' stories, and A Circle Just reminds me (in a good way) of those fics. Is it only me, but I seem to like stories where Aeryn is just this side of farhbot ala "The Choice". I've never seen that episode in its entirety and I know I missed a GREAT episode.
At the End of the Day takes off from the tag of "...Different Destinations", and that tag has got to be one of my favorites. Wonderful, wonderful imagery. Playing on hurt and angered feelings of John and Aeryn after all that has happened to them. Really, there isn't anything I could say about this story that would do it justice.
Honeymoonby Reefrunner ::PG:: Heh heh heh. Nothing can ever be easy for our dynamic duo, and their honeymoon is no exception. Classic adventure with that touch of shippiness that we see in classic episodes. Six parts. Part 1,Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6
