Still here...
Yup. Not dead. Kinda sorta wished I was last week, only in the sense that then I wouldn't have to deal with congestion, wheezing, coughing, achy, stuffy head, fever so I can't-frelling-rest that has plagued me since last week and the oh-so-wonderfully-blooming-frelling-LILACS in my backyard that set it off. Me, bitter? Nah....

Kung Fu Fightingby ScaperRed::G/PG:: Wonderful look into First Season characters. Takes place post "Throne for a Loss". Has the added bonus of getting that frelling song stuck in your head too.
And OneEye put up another chapter of Unrealized Peacekeeper, for those of you reading that fic... ck a very happy camper over in lost-in-lab-work-land.

I remember reading on here sometime ago that Ally's pet peeve is unfinished fic... Well, it's one of mine too (hence, why my two latest efforts have not yet made the boards because I refuse to post when I'm not finished with it!!!) But I have to say, if you haven't caught the latest editions of Lifeline by birthsister and War Angel by Wordboy, and you are like me, wait until they are finished! This hurry up and wait thing is driving me nuts! Both, excellent stories, but we're sitting here wondering when they will ever finish!!!

Lifeline by birthsister Chapter 6 (at least the first part of it) is at Kansas -- there are 2 threads in there somewhere. Raw, basically unbeta'd it appears, but hell, when this thing gets polished, we as readers are in for a treat.
UFO by Red - we last left one of our favorite stories with the family being interviewed by the king of talk, Larry King.
Unrealized Peacekeeper by OneEye the DRD - the last chapter was promised by the end of series. I don't know if that happened... did it? Anyone know? Last I saw was Chapter 7 (don't know if the link will work, but I'll fix it if it doesn't) and I'm not sure if that was the last of it or not.
And yeah, Angel dragged me into the 'Scape Quotes game. Between that and the new round of Chainmale Trivia over on the Save Farscape boards, the BBQ would be in hog heaven if we, in fact, had the time to be in hog heaven. *pout*

Hmm... haven't checked out the boards in about 24 hours; I have no reccs just yet. There are a few on my (blog over the past week, if anyone's interested. aeryncrichton posted something new to Kansas, and updated her fic page (woo hoo!) this week. There has been some EXCELLENT first season fic as a result of Kerlin's challenges, Shrift's "Driving Miss Daisy" one of my favorites thus far (recc'd in the comments from the previous post to this page).
Other than that... not much else to say. Attack of the Killer Rose Bushes - The Sequel, tomorrow. Check your local listings (or my blog) for updates.
Wish the same could be said for Doug, my lovely gray domestic shorthair who's been in my family for the greater part of thirteen years. Went to school yesterday after a little quality behind the ear scratching time, and came home 3.5 hours later, and he had passed away, right there on his bed. I told him to wait for me, little bastard. Just when I was thinking I should get a smaller bed so I could walk around mine without him grabbing for me, trying to pursuade me to give with the scritchin'. Damn. I might be done crying, but I'm not sure.
